Relaxation of the Conditions of Play
In view of the problems surrounding the building work at Gloucester Park t he Committee discussed a number of options, particularly due to the restricted car parking and taking everyone's safety into consideration, and the fact that some clubs are considering moving to their matches to other venues. Therefore we have agreed the following rule changes for the remainder of the winter season and the 2010 summer season:
Conditions of Play for League Matches:
- Conditions of Play 2.1 is being relaxed so that all games must be played within 15 miles by road from Gloucester Park
- Conditions of Play 3.1 - all games must have commenced within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time
- Should Clubs choose to change venues Conditions of Play 6.1 + 6.2 still apply in that you must give at least 10 days notice to your opposition and get an acknowledgement in writing. We hope that clubs will retain the same home night and time, should they choose to change venues.
- clubs are reminded to consider and check with their umpires should they decide to change venues
Gloucester Park General matters
We would like to point out that it is an offence to park on the grass verge in Cranes Farm Road outside Gloucester Park North and that the fine for doing so is £100. This is enforced by the police and nothing to do with the League or the Council.
Should any club play there matches at another venue we have been told by the Council that provided notice of cancellation is given, a full refund of court costs will be given. If you have not received your invoice then you should still give notice to the Council and they will adjust the next invoice.
Finally we have received some feedback that Mick, the Groundsman, has been on the receiving end of some very unpleasant comments. Mick tries to assist where he can but he is not responsible for the arrangements over parking or facilities and he does not deserve to be on the receiving end of abuse.
